Miklagard Golf opened in June 2001 with the intention of being one of Europe’s best golf facilities. Miklagard is located in Ullensaker municipality, an area with strong historical traditions dating back to the Vikings. The name Ullensaker derives from the Norse Ullinshof. Miklagard is the Norse name of Istanbul, historically known as an important commercial center. All holes on the course are named after Norse gods and kings. Signs, buildings and appearance of the course is inspired by the Norse history. Course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Miklagard Golf.

Miklagard consists of an 18 hole international championship course which has received many great awards for quality and design. It has an extensive training area with three putting greens, driving range with teeing grounds and four areas for wedges, bunkers and short game. The course is designed for the use of golf carts. We have a large number of vehicles with GPS and bagcovers. The quality of the greens, fairways and tees are kept at a high European standard. Miklagard is known for its greens, and on an average day, the speed is about 10 feet on stimpmeteret. In competitions, the speed is adapted to tournament level. On the practice ground you can find Miklagard Academy & Pro Services consisting of a PGA-qualified coaching team, custom fitting center with a highly skilled club maker, and a full swing studio with Swingcatalyst and Trackman as analytical tools.
