Phoenix Open - 25th-28th Feb

The Phoenix Open is one of my favorite events of the year. It has an unbelievable atmosphere with over 250,000 spectators watching during the week.

With a desert course you would expect weather not to play a big part, however over the previous few years there have been two types of conditions that have produced two different types of winners. When it has been windy and fast; short, accurate players have done well and when still and wet the longer hitters have come to the fore. Therefore I am going to put forward two of each.

1pt ew Matt Kuchar 40/1 - Been in great form over the last 6 months, a great putter which you need to be in low scoring events.

0.5 pts Tom Gillis 150/1 - An experienced veteran who can deal with crowd, he has great stats and if dry and fast could shock a strong field.

1pt win JB Holmes 25/1 - Previous winner, on form and can overpower this course if return to short putter still has it's spark.

1.5pts Robert Allenby 40/1 - Has great form in this event and in general. Putter is still a big question mark and has not won for a long time, but will soon.
