Web.Com Tour Championship and Wales Open

I am travelling again in the morning so just the picks.

I don’t fancy anything in a competitive Welsh Open. No player really stands out and there is not much value around.

I do like a bunch of players for the Web.Com Tour Championship though.

I like the player at the top of the money list, Carlos Ortiz. A three time winner this year with his card locked up and you can back the Mexican at 80/1.

Andres Gonzalez is one I’m tempted with at 100/1 (125/1 with Ladbrokes). He is a strong player but I am going to leave him out.

Zach Sucher is a decent price at 66/1 but I like others better.

I’m going to back Daniel Berger at 80/1. He grew up working on the range at The Dye Preserve in Jupiter, Florida where he has played with some of the PGA Tour’s best since high school and he is rated. This week they play the Dye course at Sawgrass, Florida. There’s a lot to like about the 25 year old this week.

I am also going to back Andrew Putnam at 80/1. He will play alongside his brother on Tour next year. He was lying 4th here after 3 rounds last year before a final round 75 dropped him to 24th and cost him his card. The course has undergone renovation since but essentially it won’t be that different. He can make up for last year’s disappointment this time around.

Lastly I am going to back Tony Finau at 50/1, he finished a solid 6th last week and has made the cut in all the playoff events. He finished 8th on the regular season money list to lock up his card and is in good form. He hits it incredibly long and won in August shooting a middle 36 of 62-63.

My advice comes with a point system to rate the strength of a tip. A 1 point bet means placing your usual stake, so if you would consider your normal bet being £10 then a point signifies £10.
