Antepost Update

Flicking through some recently added specials for the year and there are some interesting 2011 World Ranking markets. The majority revolve around Woods and like I said in the previous post he could be anything next year. He could win 3 Majors next year or he could be winless like 2010, nothing would surprise me with Tiger so it is difficult to take a speculative punt at prices so short.

The market I did like the look of was Top Italian. Yes, yet another way to get with Edoardo Molanari. It is a 3 runner race and they bet 1/3 Francesco Molanari, 10/3 Edoardo and 8/1 Manassero. Francesco is 15th in the world with an average of 4.40 points per event and Edoardo is 18th with a points average of 4.15 points per event. Manassero is 62nd and 2.17 per event. Manassero can move quickly upwards as he has played fewer events so if he has a hot 2011 his points will not be diluted so much. However, Manassero will not necessarily play in all the bigger events this year which carry the biggest points, so overall he may be at a disadvantage.

So Francesco Vs Edoardo. Francesco had a huge year. An impressively solid player with a questionable putter. He should have a solid year again but Edoardo has bigger weapons, more flare. We have nearly discounted Manassero from being a threat in this market. If they priced Edoardo V Francesco evens each of two I would be tempted but to get 10/3 makes me a backer.

Season Specials

3 pts Edoardo Molanari @ 10/3 Top Italian in the World Rankings at 31/12/2011

Already Recommended.

1pt each way Edoardo Molanari @ 50/1 Race to Dubai (1/4 1-4)
2pts Edoardo Molanari @ 9/4 To be top Italian in the Race to Dubai
2 pts each way Ernie Els @ 40/1 US Money List (1/4 1-3)

My advice comes with a point system to rate the strength of a tip. A 1 point bet means placing your usual stake, so if you would consider your normal bet being £10 then a point signifies £10.

2010 record +189.33 points.
