Golf Betting Tips

BMW Italian Open

If Jamie Donaldson finished par, par, birdie like 90% of the field do in the KLM we have a good week. He finishes bogey, par, double. If bookies paid out 10 places each way Bo Van Pelt would have made us rich. If is always a big word, it basically means nothing, all it does is lead to a justification or an excuse. We lost 15 points which saw us recoil back to +173.23 points for the year. Not good.

IF we had been flying the last few weeks I may have had a guess at who could win in Italy, but I am not going to. The scoring will be very low. This is normally played earlier in the year when it is firm and fast which offers the course some protection. It is soft and wide and inevitably will become a putting competition favouring the longer hitters. Colsaerts should go well but is short enough at 12/1, Molinari will have to find something with the putter to keep up and contend and 8/1 looks more a lay than a back. Olesen is a good shout but has been backed off the boards into 18/1 and he has found it hard to win. If I had to pick one it would be Thomas Aiken @ 55/1. He can go low and the wide, soft conditions will suit him perfectly. He has not shown enough recently to make him a bet. I can make arguments for and against a lot but have no real opinion and would rather sit out in eager anticipation of the Tour Championships next week.

My advice comes with a point system to rate the strength of a tip. A 1 point bet means placing your usual stake, so if you would consider your normal bet being £10 then a point signifies £10.
